Once a CYDT student herself, Nakia’s journey with CYDT began at the tender age of ten when a young instructor by the name of Andrea Doulas walked into her school and introduced her to a whole new world of dance. Nakia graduated from CDT/CYDT 1999 and moved on to become a member of Caribbean Star from 2000 to 2005.
While working as an Administrative Assistant/Coordinator by day, Nakia brings her primary skills into the role of Director of Events to an organization that is dear to her heart.
“It is extremely gratifying to be a founding student and now one of the Directors of a small dance company that has evolved into the organization we have today.”
